We asked TRISH McEVOY, make-up artist and founder of her eponymous beauty line, ten questions about everything from the BEST PART OF HER JOB and the book that changed how she views the world to her opinion on ANTI-AGING PRODUCTS …
The renowned Irish-born make-up artist who founded her beauty company in the 1970s, Trish McEvoy is famous for her beauty innovations, such as the make-up planner, a neat quilted case that encapsulates your beauty staples in the most organised way. While she’s made up endless famous faces, McEvoy’s focus is attainable, everyday beauty for everybody.
McEvoy’s key philosophy is not only about making women look good; it’s about feeling good and becoming more confident, calm and happier as a result – the “beauty endorphin loop”, as she calls it. She believes that your make-up routine should be based around the time you have to dedicate to it. For example, women who are always on the go don’t have the luxury of taking their time in the morning, Trish recommends a super-fast and effective beauty look that takes just three minutes (Instant Eye Lift to conceal beneath the eyes, a quick zip of 24-Hour Eye Shadow and Liner on the lash line, and some Liquid Lips gloss – couldn’t be simpler). “It’s all about the power of easy make-up,” she declares: “A little bit of make-up that does so much.”
