WORK STYLE: My style tends to match my diary. For meetings I wear fitted dresses or tailored suits with a silk blouse or camisole and nude or black high heels. I travel to London, the US and UAE, so when I am on the go I like smart separates from Alice & Olivia, Elie Tahari, Sandro and Red Valentino. I attend a lot of work-related events and dinners, as networking is very important, especially for my consultancy role with the Halo Business Angel network. If I am going straight from the office, I will add jewellery from
J Crew or Stella & Dot and switch to coloured heels. I bought a beautiful black Paul Costelloe dress coat many years ago and it has been to almost every black tie event or cocktail party I’ve ever attended. I have some beautiful handbags (from Prada and YSL).

EXPERIENCE: I am most comfortable in business wear – it’s weekend wear I struggle with – and I’d say 90 per cent of my wardrobe is black. Patterns and colours scare me, but if I am on a panel for a talk or at an event I will wear one of two red Hugo Boss dresses. Emirati businesswomen have an immaculate sense of style and grooming which has had the biggest influence on my own personal aesthetic.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION: My travel essentials include Louis Vuitton wraps for chilly planes, Banana Republic Sloan trousers, a crisp white J Crew blouse, my MacBook Air, SkinCeuticals Resveratrol and a good book.

REFERENCES: Dame Natalie Massenet. She blends corporate attire with current trends really well, plus she wears a lot of black.
