My Style CV: Alexandra Baradi

With a passion for TRAVEL as befits the founder and OWNER OF A HOLIDAY RENTAL COMPANY, Exceptional Villas, ALEXANDRA BARADI’s wardrobe echoes the colourful environments in which her properties are located …

WORK STYLE: I travel a lot – at least one transatlantic trip per month – as I personally visit all of our new markets so I can get a feel for them from a marketing and strategy perspective. Therefore my work style changes greatly depending on where I am. If I am in Switzerland, for example, looking at ski chalets, I will wear casual, warm work clothes. If I am in the Caribbean, contracting new villas, I will go for a more colourful look. I was in New York recently liaising with a private jet and business class travel company and wore a Roland Mouret dress and jacket. Miami is my next destination, I am planning to wear a vibrant Peter Pilotto dress with a smart jacket.

I love Lululemon and ON (Swiss-made) running shoes. I feel the cold, so I will always travel with a cashmere cover-up and scarf. I have also discovered over the years that the smarter you look when checking in for a flight, the more likely your chances of being upgraded to first class. I always wear a smart jacket with good accessories. I am also a huge fan of hats and have a big collection. Other essential items include Olaplex hair protector, and a pair of comfortable wedges as I do a huge amount of walking when looking at villas.

EXPERIENCE: I believe in investment dressing  and I have accrued a large wardrobe of pieces over the years by designers including Prada, Miu Miu, DVF, Kasia de Gelaque, Mary Katrantzou, and Tête by Odette for coats. Fashion is partly how I express my artistic side. I have a curvy figure too so tend to buy things that suit me rather than following trends.

REFERENCES: I have lots, but my favourite is Amal Clooney; I think she has unbelievable style. I also like the island aesthetic in the Caribbean, especially St Barths; the fashion, shopping and style …
