LTB Investment Dinner 2015
THE GLOSS was delighted to welcome a talented and glamorous audience of more than 100 businesswomen at C-suite level to the “Meet Your Future Self” event at The Merrion hosted by the magazine, in association with Investec and Merc Partners. This limited-ticket event is part of the successful Look the Business programme.

The mission was to encourage women at C-suite or in senior management, used to focusing on the pressing demands of working life, to reflect on who they would like to be in five, ten or even 20 years hence.

Aisling Dodgson, head of treasury at Investec, spoke about the need to for women to maximise their financial assets, to make plans for the future in terms of pensions and investments and to take advice about building financial security.
Ruth Curran, managing partner at Merc Partners outlined the importance of personal branding and reputation, how women can structure their careers and plan their ascent to more senior positions and to board level.
As well as being given sound advice on getting financially fit for the future and on planning their next career move, guests were treated to an exclusive masterclass by Chanel (the first time ever in Ireland) – the principle of investing in fashion, of course, brilliantly espoused by Mademoiselle Chanel, herself a brave entrepreneur and consummate networker.
Between inspirational sessions from the speakers there was plenty of time for the A-list businesswomen to network, table-hop and even indulge in a bit of modelling: a number of women plumped to try on the Chanel jackets.
Substance and style in equal measure – the ideal combination, according to one guest who loved her Chanel goodie bag and gifts from Investec and Merc Partners.
