Financial Times columnist Mrs Moneypenny, Heather McGregor, flew her own plane to Dublin to wow an audience of 600 businesswomen at the Mansion House in 2012 where she recommended carrying an Anya Hindmarch Ebury Bag with a copy of the Financial Times protruding in order to really Look The Business. A former investment banker, Mrs Moneypenny has an MBA from the London Business School, a PhD from the University of Hong Kong and is the author of 6 books.

“If you think it is a regressive step to encourage ambitious women to worry about what they wear, you might not like the next piece of advice. Hair also matters… There is more to life than hair, but it’s a good place to start sorting out how to present yourself. Here is what I would recommend as the absolute day-to-day handbag essentials that every ambitious woman needs in order to keep her perpetually 9am fresh: concealer; spare tights; lipstick; and hairbrush. Keep your focus on the message you are trying to present about yourself (both on- and offline), and make sure you look the part.”
