The NAMES TO KNOW for women ON THE GO …

The Hair
Smoothing the way between work and an evening out, Peter Mark Style Club, on Dublin’s South William Street, is open until 9pm Tuesday-Friday: stop in for a blowdry (from €28.50), and try the Kérastase Discipline range to counter frizz and give hair plenty of movement. The new Midnight in Paris Steampod (€200) uses continuous steam pressure to straighten and smooth for glossy hair. Tip: wear your hair in a ponytail and the Steampod will smooth out any kinks. We’re also lashing on Pureology Superfood Treatment (€30), with fruit and seed oil to nourish winter hair. www.petermark.ie.
The Make-up
When you’re heading somewhere special, or just feel like a make-up reboot, we recommend Nicole Lynch, who is always in demand for shoots and wedding make-up. Book a one-to-one lesson on skincare and make-up party looks. She’s trained in more than 20 brands, and is based at Zeba on South William Street, Dublin 2 four days a week. “I have a lot of women popping in to have their make-up applied before important meetings; they tell me that once their hair and make-up are perfect they can focus on what they need to do.” Lynch also does threading and brows: “It’s all about feeling a little more confident.” Book on 085 707 9911; or at Zeba 01 671 6444.
The Scent
We want our perfume to look as glamorous as it smells. The latest version of Armani’s blockbuster is Sì Nacre Sparkling (€87), a limited edition that’s the palest pink colour and leaves the most subtle of sheens on your skin along with a veil of the warm gourmand scent. Elegant and timeless, it’s the epitome of its ambassador, Cate Blanchett – read our interview with her.
