Do You Struggle To Find The Perfect Pair Of Heels?

New IPHONE APP True Gault could be the answer to your FOOTWEAR PROBLEMS

With fashion brands increasingly looking to new technological advancements to improve and expand their offerings the bridge between fashion and technology has never been closer. True Gault, the recently launched iPhone app which contains technology that uses 3D measuring tools to capture the biomechanics of a foot, all from an iPhone’s camera, will create a custom pair of shoes exactly for your size, and most importantly, that are comfortable to wear too. The heels are assembled in a factory in Spain and rather than being made to fit traditional shoe sizes are made to measure for the buyers exact foot size and shape, even taking into consideration differences between the two feet, which, according to research by True Gault, is a problem for many people when buying standard shoes.

Within the True Gault app shoppers have the option to choose from over 20 styles, over 40 leathers, and a range of colours and heel heights when designing their shoes. That selection will continue to grow over time, according to the company, and prices will range from $250-$350USD. Customisation in the fashion industry has become increasingly popular over the last number of years, particularly with sportswear brands like Nike and Adidas, as well as luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Goyard’s monogram options. And though it is unlikely to replace off-the-shelf shopping, customers are becoming more and more interested in a personalised option.

“Women can buy shoes online, but size doesn’t guarantee fit, so we broke the mold of the shoe industry to redefine the relationship between women and their heels,” says the company’s founder Sandra Gault, who has previously worked at Kodak and Allworx. True Gault is part of Google’s Accelerator programme which provides startups with support and mentorship, and Nina Garcia, creative director of Marie Claire magazine, has recently joined the team as an advisor.
